GingerBeard's Preserves Craft Range
The idea for GingerBeard’s Preserves all started in early 2014. I had been working as a chef for the best part of five years (which I still do) and, after moving from Scotland to Bristol in late 2011, I became aware of a much wider variety of fresh fruit and vegetables. I started making my own jams and preserves; I began making more and more and also playing around with flavours and creating my own recipes. After a couple of year,s with endless jars sitting around in my fridge and cupboard – and a slightly annoyed girlfriend – I came up with the idea of making a business out of it.
Craft beer! I am a big beer fan and drinker and have been drinking more and more high end craft beers over the past few years. I started using it in my recipes and as so much of it has powerful, delicious flavours and the variety of different beers brewers produce made it possible to pair different styles and flavours of beer with different ingredients to create a range of sauces jams and chutneys, the result being phenomenal! Here was born my Craft Range of products.
